We are seeking a QA Specialist who will design, own, and continuously improve Nestuge’s entire Quality Assurance process across all products and releases. This role goes beyond test execution. You will implement what quality means for Nestuge, embed QA into our product lifecycle, and act as the final advocate for user trust, platform stability, and release confidence. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure that features are functional, usable, reliable, scalable, and ready for creators.

Responsibilities

1. Own the QA Strategy End-to-End

Design and maintain Nestuge’s QA framework, including:
- Test strategy (manual, automated, exploratory)
- Test environments and release gates
- Bug severity classification and triage standards
Define quality benchmarks for new features, iterations, and hotfixes.
Establish “Definition of Done” criteria in collaboration with Product and Engineering.

2. Test Planning & Execution

Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for:
- Web app
- Creator dashboard and tools
- Membership features
- Payments, affiliates, and onboarding flows
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
Validate edge cases, failure modes, and real-world creator behaviors.

3. Automation & Tooling (as appropriate)

Identify areas where test automation adds real value.
Collaborate with Engineering to implement and maintain automated tests where feasible.
Select and manage QA tools (test management, bug tracking, CI/CD QA hooks).

4. Release & Risk Ownership

Act as the quality gatekeeper for releases:
- Sign off on feature readiness.
- Clearly communicate risks and trade-offs when deadlines are tight.
Validate fixes and ensure no regressions are introduced.
Support staged rollouts, feature flags, and post-release validation.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:
- Product (PRDs, acceptance criteria, edge cases)
- Design (UX consistency, interaction flows)
- Engineering (reproducible bugs, logs, root causes)
Advocate for user experience and system integrity in planning discussions.

6. Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Document QA processes, test coverage, and known risks.
Track quality metrics (defect trends, escape rates, regression frequency).
Continuously improve QA practices as Nestuge scales.

Skills

Proven experience in QA / Software Testing for web or SaaS products.
Experience owning or building a QA process from scratch (or significantly improving one).
Strong understanding of:
- Software development lifecycles
- Agile / iterative product development
- Bug tracking and test management tools
Ability to think both systemically and empathetically about user behavior.
Excellent written communication for test documentation and bug reports.
High attention to detail with strong judgment about risk vs. velocity.
